WarChess combines fantasy and chess.. WarChess is basically a chess game with visual effects. Each chess piece is represented by a fantasy character, giving the game more action. The player moves his or her pieces on a board that uses about a quarter of the screen. The remaining screen space is used by the 3D characters.

I played the game and liked it very much. Usually chess is a rather boring game. All you have to do is move the pieces on a dull board. When you play WarChess, however, you won’t be bored. Every character has its own face, and every type of chess piece looks different. Each time you move, an animation begins, showing you how the character gets to the new position.

I’m sure you won’t be tempted to resign from a game anymore. It doesn’t matter if you are losing, you’ll still want to view the visual effects. 10 arenas, a powerful AI (artificial intelligence), network play, and possible move highlighting are available in the full game.
